How to Disable Autoplay Function In Windows 7

Whenever you insert CD/DVD , Pen Drive , etc then Autorun function promt and asking for Start program or file in different kind of media , such as CD/DVD and Photo . If you have enable Autoplay function in your computer then there is chances of insert virus in your computer because of virus program automatically execute. Its need to disable autoplay feature for prevent computers .

Follows these steps to Disable Autoplay Function in Windows 7:

1. Click on Start Button , then Type gpedit.msc in the Search Box ,then press Enter

2. In the Local Group Policy Editor window , Navigate Computer Configuration => Administrative Template

    => Windows Components => AutoPlay Policies .
    then in the Right pane Double-Click on Turn off Autoplay .

3. Click on Enabled radio button , then Click on Apply and OK .

Now when you will insert CD/DVD or Removable media then Autoplay function will not be Promt.
